Dearest friends,

Tomorrow I am flying across the country to meet with my mentor Joanna Macy, and forty or so dear hearts whose life work is embedded within the Work that Reconnects.  Some of you reading this I get to hug in person tomorrow! The rest of you I will carry in my heart as we spend the next eight days diving deep into the nectar of the work that has come through Joanna Macy, and so many, in this time of Great Turning, and Great Unravelling. If you are not sure who or what I am talking about, please do yourself a favor in looking up www.joannamacy.net

While I am traveling across the continent, many of yall will be gathering in the town of Appalachia, Virginia, for a much deserved celebration and fish fry marking the successful campaign to save Ison Rock Ridge in Wise County, VA. Hooray! I join my voice with so many of you in relief and joy that this mountain is no longer on the chopping block! For more information, and to support the Southern Appalachian Mountain Stewards, please go to, http://www.samsva.org/.

I will write a loving report about this upcoming trip, and the state of our mountains when I return. For now, I want to also let you all know that I will be offering my first ever webinar on Eco-Chaplaincy through my alma mater Naropa University, on Wednesday, September 16th, at 1:00, eastern time, and you are invited! For more information, please go to: http://www.naropa.edu/alumni-relations/get-involved/alumni-sharing-knowledge.php

Much love to all,
